Dean’s Summer Research Program (DSRP)

Monet Weldon is a first-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She has a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and psychology from Virginia Tech where she earned a Presidential Scholarship. She also has a Master of Arts in Medical Sciences in Biopsychology, Biology, and Chemistry. Ms. Weldon is proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and was president of the ASL Club at Virginia Tech where she provided outreach and coalition building with local deaf and heard-of-hearing centers. 

Ms. Weldon is working with Drs. Woods and Boninger for the Dean’s Summer Research Program (DSRP) on The Environmental Footprint of Hospital Disposability.
