Degree programs and health science sustainability
The School of Public Health has multiple departments and degree programs looking closely how the environment and climate affect our health.
In Behavioral & Community Health Sciences (BCHS) students learn how to create healthier communities. In Environmental & Occupational Health (EOH) students identify environmental factors that affect human health. Research and prevention in aging, chronic disease prevention, reproductive health, and environmental health are tackled in Epidemiology. The climate is changing how infectious disease behaves, in the department of Infectious Diseases & Microbiology enhance the control of infectious diseases in the human population. In Health Policy & Management students learn how to enhance health care by improving costs, access, and quality.
Certificate programs
Certificate programs are available for undergraduate, graduate, and active public health professionals to enhance their education and focus on specific tops related to sustainability in health care. Learn more
The Global Health certificate prepares students to meet the challenges of complex health problems such as shifting immigration patterns, climate change, and conflict.
In the Community-Based Research and Practice certificate program, students conduct research centered on the knowledge and behaviors of specific populations and use community understanding of health problems to offer interventions and education.
Students examine factors and associated risks surrounded environmental health with the Environmental Health Risk Assessment certificate.
