Pitt Med Research Experience for Prematriculants (PREP)
Justin Wang is an incoming first-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He has a Bachelor of Arts in economics and philosophy from Cornell University with a minor in inequality studies. At Cornell, Justin was president of the Cornell Roosevelt Institute (now called the Cornell Policy Group), a student-run policy think tank. He worked in economic/litigation consulting before beginning a postbaccalaureate premedical program in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania where he has also had the opportunity to volunteer as a Mandarin-to-English translator at a local free clinic.
Mr. Wang is working with Drs. Boninger and Woods for the summer as a part of the PREP program, an 8-week accelerated research experience prior to matriculating into medical school.
